Anita Maybach MD grew up in Warrenton, Virginia and moved to Blacksburg to earn a BS in Biology and a BA in English. After completing medical school at EVMS, she went to Geisinger Medical Center to specialize in Emergency Medicine. She has practiced ER for 25 years, general practice for 15 years, and 2 years ago earned a subspecialty board certification in Hospice and Pellietive Care. She is married to another ER physician, Matthew Rhames and has two daughters, Eiream and Amelise.
