Heather Rindler
Session: Neonicotinoid Seed Treatment Trial Update
Heather Rindler was born and raised on a 200-head dairy and row-crop farm in west-central Ohio. While the dairy herd has since been replaced with steers, her family's farming operation remains active today under the management of her father and brother. Growing up, Heather developed a strong foundation in agriculture through her involvement in 4-H and FFA.
She went on to attend Wilmington College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agronomy with a minor in Chemistry. After graduation, Heather joined a third-party contract research organization in Troy, Ohio, where she gained valuable experience in small-plot agricultural research and developed an appreciation for the critical role research plays in advancing crop production practices. In 2019, Heather transitioned to Brookside Labs, beginning her career in the Soil Health Laboratory. There, she conducted soil health analyses and helped develop new testing methodologies. In 2021, she advanced to the role of Research Agronomist, where she combines her expertise in field research and laboratory science to support farmers and crop consultants in designing effective on-farm trials. Her work focuses on utilizing existing farm equipment and management practices to generate reliable data that informs adaptive, data-driven management decisions.
