John Pike

Session: Practical Application of Cover Crops: Frustration vs. Function

John Pike lives in Marion, IL and operates Pike Ag, LLC, providing agronomic consulting and contract research services for the ag industry. He collaborates with University of IL, the IL Fertilizer and Chemical Association, IL commodity groups, and the Oregon Ryegrass Commission to coordinate on-farm research trials involving nutrient and soil management, and cover crop systems. He is also involved in a variety of educational efforts related to this research. He was formerly Crop Sciences Superintendent and Research Agronomist for the University of IL, Agronomy Instructor at Lake Land College, worked in ag retail, and is a 6th generation IL farmer that enjoys ice cream.
